Kicking off the Art Center's Arts Alive Festival !

That's right- this race is HALF of a kilometer!  You don't need to be a marathoner to participate – you should however, be a beer drinker (age appropriate).  The race is run holding a pint of beer – go as fast as you can but don’t spill too much!

The ½ K By The Bay will kick off the Art Center’s 4th Annual ARTS ALIVE! Festival. After the run, stay and enjoy LIVE MUSIC, an all new BEER GARDEN, food trucks and starting at noon: a slew of art-centered activities at the Arts Alive Festival! Funds benefit the Art Center of Corpus Christi, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.

WHAT YOU GET:  A spot in the race, a souvenir cup, 2 craft beers (1 running & 1 reward), a bottle opener participation medal
(we're all beer drinking winners here), & TWO Saturday early admissions to the Arts Alive Festival.

THE GOAL:   To finish the strenuous 546 foot race as quickly as possible while keeping your beer above the
specified line on your cup (serious beer-leg coordination is required).

The first 5 in each heat to finish the race AND with their beer above the line on the cup will move on to the championship! Those
who finish with their beer below the line will not qualify.  PRO TIP:  Resist the urge to drink your beer before or during the race.

Or, sip your beer and take a nice stroll along the bay front and leave the spilling to the ones that take everything too seriously.

The top 3 championship finishers walk away with a beautiful hand crafted beer mug trophy, special prizes and all the glory!
No really, its frowned upon to NOT drink your beer out of your new trophy mug, showing off that you won.

BEST COSTUME (get creative people) also wins a special prize!
