NOTICE: There will be no Art Center Gala this year
With all the tragedy in our area,
The Art Center decided not to present an elegant Gala fundraiser.
Instead, The Art Center used Gala funds and organizing efforts to help artists in need.
Artists who lost their livelihood to Hurricane Harvey were given a dry, safe place for their art, and an emergency sale was held.
– The Art Center waived its’ normal commission
– $10,275 of local art was sold, providing vital income at their time of need
This sacrifice is nothing compared to the losses artists are enduring, but it hurt our bottom line. Now The Art Center needs YOUR help.
We need to raise $30,000 without a gala.
Please, if you would have supported The Art Center through the Avant Garden Gala,
donate what you would have spent on gala tickets. If there is room in
your giving money, consider more.
“Take The Art Center to dinner.”
Donate what you would spend taking a friend in need to dinner.
Your gift will be matched dollar for dollar up to $100,000.
Thank you for believing in The Art Center. We promise to be good stewards of your investment and continue the important work of improving our community with artists and through art. With your participation and financial support, the possibilities are endless.
