The Art Center is home to the Barry Brown Clay Studio; a full service studio that offers workspace, classes, glazes, electric and gas kiln firings. It is the domain of both experienced and aspiring clay artists. Open classes are offered in hand building and wheel throwing. Clay experiences for kids are offered on Saturdays or by special arrangement. Those who choose to become members of the Studio can work in informal groups, classes or spend productive hours on their own time. Join the Clay Studio group to explore the medium of clay and collaborate with other clay artists. Membership:
$75/year for a regular membership and current membership at The Art Center is required ($40/year).
Includes the use of all studio equipment and space, unlimited Cone 6 glaze and firing privileges, with studio purchased clay. No outside clay or unapproved glazes allowed.
Clay Cost:
$25 for 25 lb. bag of clay
All clay used in the studio must be purchased from the studio, price includes all glazing and firing.
