In 2010, the Art Center hosted 115 rental events consisting of weddings, receptions, birthday parties, fundraisers, shows, business seminars, showers, luncheons and parties of all kinds. From the open, elegant courtyard to the Bay View Room with beautiful ocean views, the Art Center is a prime location for all of your event needs. The Art Center’s friendly and professional event staff can assist you in booking and planning your unique event.
Art Center facility spaces available to rent includes the following:
Devary’s Courtyard is of a classical Mediterranean style with a grand staircase that leads to a protected second story veranda encircling the entire site. This veranda also affords a magnificent view of the bay and marina area. The elegant stairway is the focus of many ceremonies and photo shoots. The 6000 square foot courtyard will accommodate most any event up to a maximum of 450 guests.
The Bay View Room, with its dramatic open ceiling and grand views of the bay and the city, is a room to remember. With 1,043 square feet of space, it will accommodate 88 guests for a formal dinner or 120 guests in a cocktail setting. It is a great location for smaller weddings, showers, receptions, business meetings, formal and informal parties or other special events.
The Buena Vista Room can be privately booked for daytime or evening events. This attractive space with its great view of boats and bay can accommodate 130 guests in a seated dinner style arrangement. It is appropriate for smaller events such as a shower, birthday party, dinner party or business meeting.
The Meadows Gallery holds elegant events within an ever changing array of the original art exhibited at the Art Center. This spacious gallery boasts 2,900 square feet and has an 18 foot open ceiling. The east wall of the gallery opens onto Devary’s Courtyard through three sets of French doors. It has dramatic black floors and is a unique site for a wedding or special event that can include dinner and dancing. It will comfortably accommodate 120 guests in a formal dinner setting and up to 225 for a cocktail reception.
